Union Market

ANZ Consulting Engineering has worked closely with the Union Market brand most recently completing their retail location at 342 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. For this location ANZ Consulting Engineering provided both Engineering Design and Special Inspection services for the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. As part of the design, ANZ incorporated a number of sustainable design elements including the design of a thermal reclamation system. The system uses waste heat harvested from the refrigerated casework’s hot-gas refrigerant loop to preheat domestic water for the facility. This waste heat would normally be rejected to a rooftop condenser.  ANZ Consulting Engineering is working on two new facilities for the Union Market brand including a retail store at 1535 Bedford Avenue, and a new Commercial Kitchen Facility in the Gowanus.
